Donkey is known for its perseverance and this personal trait is commonly found in the people in Hunan, China, and the Hunanese is therefore often called Hunan Donkey. The founder’s mother was born and raised in Hunan and she was a true chili connoisseur. After several years of trials and errors, the founder finally found this “Sky-rocket” pepper that meets her standard. The signature chili products were later branded “Old Donkey” in remembrance of his mother. Because of the strict food safety standard within and outside of Taiwan, safety and quality standards are diligently maintained but without sacrificing the flavor.
